Best known for his writing and production on anthems such as “The Matter” with Wizkid, “Baby Hello” by Wande Coal & much more, Maleek Berry‘s new release proves he’s more than two dimensional. “On Fire” which was premiered by The Fader magazine is an interesting fusion of trap and afro-pop melodies, the use of London “twang” and hints of distinct Yoruba can be heard throughout this masterpiece. The catchy record has an energetic hook with Berry expressing the feeling of building a buzz, moving low key and stacking “lizzy” which is a UK slang term for 50 pound notes. “On Fire” is definitely set to cause some heat in the clubs and introduce listeners to Maleek’sextensive musical ear. Tell me what you think about On fire
Keep it up maleek
